There's a Stake Driven Deep in the Heart of Texas

a tiny glimpse of Texican reality

by Peter Stern

Governor Rick Perry will win again simply because Texans bought into a vision that isn't really there. Say what you will about Perry, but the man knows how Texans think. Look at the documented history during Perry's 3 terms as Governor and you will see the reality that is hidden from public view: the special interest driven Perry who is adept at using smoke screens and mirrors to perform his magic.

Is that America I smell burning?

State government is not working for the people it is supposed to serve

Both major parties get failing grades

by Peter Stern

As much as 4 more years of Texas Governor Rick Perry is scary, many people are scared more by Bill White. Some issues are that he is a liberal Democrat, that he will push for the same or similar failed Obama programs and that White is looking to relinquish state control to the federal government. People are being told all sorts of stories, but the truth is that there are few good alternative candidates to choose from.

More Economic Stuff: Congress just screwed the pooch again

No COLAs for Social Security recipients

No jobs for Americans who need them

by Peter Stern

For the 2nd time in 2 years prices used to measure the annual Social Security Benefits COLA dropped. We are told that in 2008 the COLA provided to social security recipients rose 5.8 percent, well above the usual annual COLA increase of 3.8 percent. Supposedly, the next COLA increase will occur in 2012 when the prices most likely will increase to the previous 2008 levels.

Texas Voters should NOT get suckered into voting for a Statewide Property Tax

The next Pandora's Box and General "Slush" Fund in the Glorious State of Texas

by Peter Stern

The Texas House and Senate are salivating over a statewide property tax. It is the same legislators year after year and the same business people who are appointed to education commissions who still direct the focus on how to finance public education. They have been unable to resolve the problem for the past decade, why should the public believe them now?

Is Islam a real threat and will it takeover the World within 50 years?

Is there real substantiation that Islam is a real threat and will it takeover the World within 50 years?

by Peter Stern

Is Islam a real threat to global dominance in the next 50 years or is the concern propaganda developed to strike fear into the hearts of the western world?

THE U.S. ECONOMY: Don’t worry; it’s only a mild recession…

It’s only a temporary problem…

The economy is improving slowly…

by Peter Stern

Lies, all lies. We are in a deep depression. Only the stupid or greedy believe otherwise.
